Here I will talk about all the brewing gear I have, what I use it for and how I like it. pictures to come
- 5 gal HLT - This 5 gal cooler used to be my mash tun until I got the 10 gal. It was a little too small for a mash tun, but seems to be perfect for a HLT.
- 10 gal Mash Tun - I got this cooler because I plan on brewing larger batches in the near future and the 5 gal could only fit so much grain. to do higher gravity beers you need a larger mash tun.
- 3 gal Lobster Pot - Works just fine for the beginner brewer but has become too small since I've started full mash brewing. This will be the next thing I replace.
- 10 gal Brew Kettle - Now we're talkin. I can now boil enough wort to fill the big fermenter.
- 7 gal Plastic Primary Fermenter - Perfect for a 5 gal batch of beer. I don't like to leave the beer in here for more than 1 week though. I will be upgrading to a conical fermenter in the near future as well.
- 6 gal Glass Carboy - A pain the the butt to clean but a must have for the 5 gal batch home brewer.
- 7 gal Plastic Bottling Jug - Hmmm. I wonder what I use this for. I really have no comment on this item. All 5 gal system home brewers have them and they do what they were designed to do.
- 15 gal Fermenter - Now we're talkin'. I can brew 10-12 gallons of heady brew at a time! Thanks to all my groomsmen and friends for chipping in on it.
- Refragmentor - This thing makes gravity readings a breeze and uses far less beer to take a measurement with. That means you have that much more finished product!
